Polished Concrete Flooring

Rustic, Beautiful, contemporary and Industrial.

Polished Concrete Flooring / Polished Concrete Overlays

Polished concrete is a type of concrete flooring that has been treated with chemicals and gradually ground down to an increasingly smooth surface. As such, it offers the ability to transform an existing concrete slab into a visually appealing and functional flooring option for anything from an industrial space to a chic retail or hospitality environment.

Polished concrete comes in high-gloss, matt or industrial chic finishes, is hard-wearing and damage resistant.

We utilise the most cutting-edge machinery to achieve the best concrete flooring results

The popularity of concrete flooring has increased in recent times, largely owing to improved grinding techniques that have allowed for more refined and sophisticated finishes. Using HTC SuperfloorTM concrete polishing machinery, we can polish new and existing concrete floors to an impeccable standard.

HTC are the market leader for grinding and polishing technology and with experienced operators we are able to achieve truly stunning results with concrete floors.

Polished concrete overlays are a great alternative to traditional polished concrete

Polished concrete overlays are ideal for environments such as Residential properties, Retail spaces, Office and reception areas, Art Galleries and museums, hotels, cafes and Bars.

Polished concrete effect

For projects with time restraints, overlays are a fast solution to achieving a polished concrete effect, with the added control of sample selection allowing you to dictate the end result if the properties of the existing substrate are undesirable.

Installation

Our poured polished concrete overlays are either trowel or pump applied depending on the project size. With installation periods as little as 2/3 days our polished concrete overlays offer an efficient and cost-effective solution resulting in extremely hard wearing decorative concrete floors. Our systems are applied at a minimum depth of 5mm and offer an excellent solution for renovations with time restraints and come in a range of colours and finishes to accommodate all budgets.

Colours and styles

We offer a wide range of colours and styles which can be applied homogeneously, mixed and marbled, distressed in appearance, with or without exposed aggregates and sealed or polished. Polished concrete comes in high-gloss, matt or industrial chic finishes, is extremely durable and can be applied to a minumum depth as little as 5mm.

The Benefits of Traditional

The Benefits of Overlays

Surface Finishes

HTC Superfloor™ Platinum
Platinum produces the glossiest finish and is the concept we normally recommend to our customers. It involves more grinding stages than the other concepts. The result is an unbeatably durable floor. Truck wheels and substances leave no marks on the glossy surface and light reflects gently off the floor.
HTC Superfloor™ Gold
Using the Gold concept, you do not grind as deep into the concrete as with Platinum. This means that less ballast is exposed. Just like the other concepts, Gold then involves polishing the floor with HTC TwisterTM to achieve a gloss that is almost as brilliant as a Platinum finish. Gold produces a floor with excellent resistance to marks from truck wheels, etc. HTC SuperfloorTM Gold is ideal for concrete floors that are already even and level.
HTC Superfloor™ Silver
The Silver concept is a version of Platinum. Using this concept, you grind as deep into the concrete as with Platinum, but do not polish it. The ballast is exposed as with Platinum. Silver is therefore excellent if you want a floor with a matt surface finish.
HTC Superfloor™ Bronze
Bronze is the concept with the least number of grinding and polishing stages. This concept does not involve exposing the construction concrete. Instead, the top layer of the surface paste is polished but not removed. This process creates a stronger surface paste with a shiny finish.
